North Queensland Legal Practitioners 1861-1964

http://www.sclqld.org.au/schp/northqld/search.php

The Supreme Court of Queensland Library website hosts this online database which provides historical information about judges, barristers and solicitors known to have practised in North Queensland from the settlement of Bowen in 1861 until 1964.

The database can be searched by name, town or firm.

The information provided includes biographies of the legal practitioners, the towns in which they practised, the firms for whom they worked, and the positions they held

The research of Dr Dorothy Gibson-Wilde forms the foundation of this resource.
