Scottish Post Office Directories online

The National Library of Scotland has digitized 287 Scottish Post Office directories which can now be viewed online for free. These directories cover the period 1774 to 1911.

AddressingHistory is a searchable, historical database of the people of Edinburgh, Scotland. The database currently contains the Post Office Directories for the years 1784-5; 1865 and 1905-6. The website also contains old maps of Edinburgh which have been digitised.
