Catholic and civil parishes

Has your ancestor recorded the Catholic or civil parish? If you are dealing with Cork a good site to check is
http://www.failteromhat.com/index_org.php

There is a cross reference list of Catholic and civil parishes

Records from the other religions in Ireland are there as well.

The maps, pictures and documents may also help.
