Spirits of Gallipoli project

"The Spirits of Gallipoli" project and website is gathering biographical details on the soliders of the Australian Imperial Forces who are either buried or commemorated at Gallipoli.

Their data has been gathered from numerous sources including newspapers.

Seminar: Commemorating the Anzacs

The National Archives of Australia - Brisbane Office is holding a free seminar to Commemorate the Anzacs.  The seminar looks at some of the history behind the Anzac legend and records of a few individuals.  As well we look at the origin and meanings of the rituals which are held on Anzac Day.

The National Archives of Australia hold most of the Service records relating to all the Service Personnel for World War I and have been digitised and can be viewed on the NAA database on line at no cost.

 The seminar will be held at the Brisbane Office:

on Saturday 16 April & Wednesday 20 April starting at 10am - the seminar will run for approximately an hour and there is a complimentary morning tea.
