4BC has started a regular segment, Family History 101, in its Thursday evening program at 9:30pm. The program is hosted by Walter Williams, with Ann Swain from Queensland FHS, and Marg Doherty of Genealogical Society of Queensland, as the expert guests. It loosely covers a research theme with a response to a listener who has called in the previous week with a brick-wall. Tune in to 1116AM on your radio's dial for an enjoyable half hour.

Chinese family history

My family's history closely mirrors that of Marilynn Dooley - ancestor Ah Sam Foo, arrived Nth Qld 1874 to work Palmer Goldfields, then worked as shopkeeper/baker central Qld.
Would appreciate contact from Marilynn Dooley regarding records of Primitive Methodist Church Rockhampton as Sam was married there in 1885.   Geraldine Lee
