Discovering Your Local History - Put On Your White Gloves

Ruth Gardiner from John Oxley Library, and Saadia Thomson Dwyer from Queensland State Archives, will present a range of treasures from their collections that relate to the Moreton Bay region. 

Participants will have the opportunity to closely view the items on display.

The original Whiteside Diaries will also be on display at this event.

A further two microfilm reels have been indexed: A2.21 and A2.22.  These two reels cover more of the year 1851. The microfilm is held in the Micrographics reading room, Level 3 of the State Library of Queensland.

Seminar for Queensland Day - 07.06.11, 10:00am

Come and celebrate Queensland Day with Queensland State Archives with a seminar and tour of the Archives.

Featuring Queensland State Archives’ most significant records from the state’s early history, this seminar will offer the rare opportunity to view the Proclamation of Queensland as read by Governor Bowen on 10 December 1859.
