Was your ancestor in the Queensland Parliament?
"The Queensland Parliament’s Re-Member project is a fully searchable online database of biographical information on the parliament’s first members. The database will be updated to ultimately present information on all former members of the Queensland Parliament."
http://www.parliament.qld.gov.au/view/historical/formermembers/
Did you know that some early members had convict backgrounds?
They include:
- Patrick O'Sullivan (1818-1904) - MLA
- Kevin Izod O'Doherty (1823-1905) - MLA and MLC
- William Henry Groom (1833-1901) - MLA and Speaker
