Improved Qld birth, death and marriage indexes!!!!!!

Following consideration of client feedback, the Queensland Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages has today launched an improved Historical Index Search Facility. In addition to some minor cosmetic and processing changes the major improvements are as follows:http://www.justice.qld.gov.au/justice-services/births-deaths-and-marriages/

  • The addition of wildcard searching;
  • The addition of variable date searching (day and or month and or year); and
  • The return of district identifiers on registration numbers.

This free service can be accessed via the family history research section of the RBDM website -
