Would anyone know what this is G.U.O.O.F. This appeared on my great grandfathers obituary. Calling all members from GUOOF. How can i find out what this organisation?

Glennis I knew I had come across G.U.O.O.F before and recalled that it was something to do with the society of Oddfellows. I checked the National Library's digitized newspapers database and found several references, one of which gave the full name as follows: Grand United Order or Oddfellows (The Sydney Morning Herald... Saturday 28 April 1917 p 13)

Brisbane History Group meeting 28 Feb 2010 - 28.02.10, 12:30pm

Brisbane History Group researches, publishes and presents speakers' programs on Brisbane history. It's a great way to find out about aspects of our city of which you may be unaware.

The Group has its first meeting of the year on Sunday 28th February.
