Australia has been involved in many international conflicts starting with the Boer War in South Africa, then WW1, WW2, Korean War, Vietnam War and more recently in peacekeeping missions. There is a strong possibility therefore that one or more of your ancestors will have served in the military. There is a vast amount of information now available on-line to trace your ancestors’ military past. This course outlines what records may be available and details where and how to find them in Australia and the UK.
