Gympie Cemetery database available online

The Gympie Cemetery Trust have released a searchable grave database for the Gympie Cemetery. Entries can include information such as date of death, date of funeral, date of birth as well as the grave plot number. The database also pinpoints the position of the grave on a map.

Many of Gympie's early pioneers can be found in this database including:

• James Nash - acknowledged as the first person to discover gold in Gympie in 1867 (buried 6 October 1913)
• John Flood - Newspaper owner/editor. Former convict/exile (buried 28 August 1909)
